Art After Dark at Gillman Barracks x Singapore Open Media Art Festival
Art After Dark x Singapore Open Media Art Festival (SOMAF) is a Gillman Barracks open house held in conjunction with the launch of SOMAF, which celebrates 40 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and South Korea. The three-day night festival, themed “The Moment of Karma”, presents over 40 videos and media installations by Korean, Singaporean and European Artists on screens dotted all over Gillman Barracks. It will run from 29 to 31 May.
In addition, the Barracks’ tenants will launch new shows and extend their opening hours. The NTU Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) Singapore’s Residencies: OPEN will present an electrifying live performance by Chicks on Speed – known for their cult status as catalysts of the musical genre electroclash – and a studio installation by Jeremy Sharma.
There will also be F&B pop-ups in addition to Gillman Barracks’ newly launched F&B outlets Nekkid and Red Baron. Red Baron will team up with Kilowatt Soundsystem for a night of exotica, Latin and reggae grooves for the after party.
Free admission.
