Learn. Apply. Engage.
Careers in the future will demand very different skill sets than those which we have traditionally been taught in our formal education. Publications on ‘skills of the future’ are vast and vary, however all align on the importance of ‘problem solving’, ‘creativity’ and ‘people skills’. Understanding people to deliver actionable and innovative design insight, that is what Human-Centered Design (HCD) is all about.
HCD is an approach to problem solving, mostly applied in innovation. While it was originally coined by a small design bureau, by 2019 most large companies across industries apply the tools in their processes. We believe this is a core skill set that will help you to progress your career and make an impact.
Girls in Tech Singapore is partnering with DigitalBCG and our venue partner imPAct@Hong Lim Green to deliver an Introduction to HCD workshop especially for our community! The workshop will follow the problem statement ‘How might we create a more ethical e-commerce process?’
Key takeaways will be how to:
- Follow and use the Design thinking framework
- To tackle business and customer experience challenges
- Build empathy and user centricity
- Understand rapid prototyping and iterative design
This workshop is for you if you:
- Have a sense of eagerness to learn a skill of the future
- Have no formal induction to HCD
- Are ready to commit a day in your weekend
We only have limited slots available so make sure to confirm your availability and sign up now! Please note that none of the proceeds will go to DigitalBCG. Register now, we can’t wait to meet you there!
