Innovation Weekend は2011年5月、日本のスタートアップシーンをグローバル化すると共に、日本発のグローバルスタートアップを生み出すことを目的として、ネットエイジ創業者の西川潔氏、ベンチャーナウの竹内泰史氏、サンブリッジの平石郁生が中心となり立ち上げたスタートアップイベントです。
2014年からは、Innovation Weekend 自ら「World Tour」に挑戦し、東京、大阪に加えて、Singapore, London, Boston, New York, San Francisco, Berlin等、世界のスタートアップのハブにて、Innovation Weekend を開催してきました。
2016年は、New York, San Francisco, Berlin および大阪開催の優勝・準優勝スタートアップに一般公募での選出を加えた９社が、年間総合チャンピオンを懸けて、12/2（金）、東京に集結します！

Welcome to “Innovation Weekend Grand Finale 2016” registration page.
Innovation Weekend started in Tokyo in May 2011 as a platform to develop “Global Startup originating from Japan” and to make Tokyo a “Global Startup Hub.” It was founded through the combined efforts of Ikuo Hiraishi of SunBridge(currently SunBridge Global Ventures), Yasushi Takeuchi founder of Venture Now and Kiyoshi Nishikawa who relaunched NetAge.
Innovation Weekend’s Grand Finale will include a carefully curated program of keynote speeches, panels of international entrepreneurs and investors, and a series of pitches of startups from New York, Berlin, San Francisco, Osaka and Tokyo that participated in this year’s Innovation Weekend world tour.

イギリス出身。1997年よりシリコンバレー在住。ヨーロッパ初のISP、EasyNetを共同創業し1996年、ロンドンAIM市場にIPO。その後、シリコンバレーに移住、RealNames(多言語DNS)、世界有数のスタートアップメディア TechCrunch (8,000万人が閲読)等、次々にスタートアップを立ち上げる。近年、モバイルビジネスに特化したインキュベーターArchimedes Labsを創業。その中から生まれた Chat CenterのCEOでもある。今までに調達した資金は、約US$200M。EXIT金額は、US$1Billion以上。
Partner at Archimedes Labs (http://archimedeslabs.com) in Palo Alto, California. He is also the founder of chat.center Inc, incubated at Archimedes Labs. TechCrunch was also incubated out from Archimedes lab. He loves working with founders, teams, designers and engineers to create products, tell stories, and turn them into reality. Archimedes has over 20 companies that he mentors and guides. Also, he has founded or co-founded many companies by himself since the early 1980s. Some were successfully sold, others IPO’d. Two of his companies were Unicorns – valued by others at more than $1 billion (EasyNet and RealNames).

’94年 横浜国立大学 経済卒、日本合同ファイナンス(現JAFCO)に入社以来、20年以上にわたりベンチャーキャピタルおよびスタートアップ経営に携わる。
’08年 リブライトパートナーズ株式会社を日本で設立しスタートアップ投資育成に携わり、2010年よりシンガポールに事業拠点を移し、東南アジアでのベンチャー投資を開始、また2014年にはインドに常設チームを設置し投資活動を始める。

Ebihara has been in the industry more than 20 years as a venture capitalist as well as serial entrepreneur. His career as venture capitalist started from JAFCO, the largest venture capital and PE firm in Japan in 1994. He also founded and managed several internet companies include Tokyo stock-ex listed public company. Then he founded Rebright Partners in 2008 investing early stage tech startups in India and SE Asia.

米国ワシントンDC出身。1994年に来日。東京在住歴20年。来日以来、シリアルアントレプレナーとして複数の起業、各種メディアでの執筆等、幅広く活躍。また、日本のスタートアップ事情に精通し、個人投資家、メンターとしても活動し、日本人の起業家を海外に紹介することを目的とした英語でのインタビューコンテンツ「Disrupting Japan podcast」を運営。 前職は、クラウド・コンピューティング分野で世界的なリーディングカンパニーであるEngine Yard（米国サンフランシスコ本社）日本法人の代表取締役社長。日本市場開拓に貢献する。
Tim Romero is a Tokyo-based entrepreneur, podcaster and author who has started several companies since coming to Japan more than 20 years ago. Tim hosts the Disrupting Japan podcast and is deeply involved in Japan’s startup community as an investor, founder and mentor.

TAKAHITO IGUCHI / 井口尊仁

1963年岡山県生まれ。立命館大学文学部哲学科卒業。システムエンジニアなどを経て、96年ジャストシステム入社。マンガをデジタル化して発信する仕組みを開発。99年独立してデジタオを設立し、ブログやＳＮＳなどのシステムを手掛ける。2008年「頓智ドット」を設立し、社長就任。拡張現実を実現するソフト「セカイカメラ」を発表して注目される。2013年「テレパシー」を創業し、CEOに就任。シリコンバレーに本拠地を置き、ウエアラブル端末「テレパシー・ワン」で世界規模の新しいコミュニケーション環境の実現を目指す。2014年7月、DOKI DOKI, INC.創業。A.I.による新しいコミュニケーションのあり方を提唱。
One of the leading entrepreneurs from Japan. His inventions have been covered by numerous media, including Wired, New York Times, and Mashable among others. In 2009, his company “Tonchidot” successfully launched the world’s first consumer augmented reality app “Sekai Camera” (fund-raised a total of 16 million dollars). The product was selected as one of “Best Mobile Apps” in Tech Crunch in 2009. Similarly, he managed to raise over 5 million dollars in 2013 from Silicon Valley VC, with the HMD called “Telepathy”, the Google Glass’ rivalry product. His current invention is A.I. supported communication App called “Baby”, the first product of DOKI DOKI he established in 2014.

JEFFREY PAINE
Founding partner of Golden Gate Ventures
Jeffrey Paine is the founding partner of Golden Gate Ventures, an early stage technology venture capital fund based in Singapore investing in Southeast Asia with over US$60 million under management. Jeff started and manages the Founder Institute in Singapore where he is currently overseeing its expansion in Southeast Asia, and Japan. Since 2010 the Founder Institute in Singapore has graduated over 100 companies. He is a recipient of the Founder Institute Director Award 2012 for “Greatest Ecosystem Impact” Worldwide (Singapore).
Golden Gate Ventures’ investments in Southeast Asia include Redmart, Carousell, Tradegecko, Coda Payments, Ayannah, Orami, Ruma, Moneysmart, Grana and Appota amongst others.
He is a Singapore native and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration (Information Systems) from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Peter Rothenberg

1986年生まれ。2007年に1年間交換留学国際基督教大学へ。2010年にUCLAを卒業して文部科 学省が提供するJETプログラムに参加、群馬県の嬬恋村へ派遣、2年間ALTとして務める。2012 年にチャット型英語学習サービスEigoooをCEOとして立ち上げAppleのベスト新着アプリとして 選ばれた。2016年2月からTech in Asia入社。Tech in Asiaは月間900万ページビューを超え、 東南アジアで最も成長をしているテックメディア。
Born in 1986, Peter spent his third year of university at International Christian University in Tokyo. After graduating from UCLA in 2010, Peter participated in the Japanese government sponsored English teacher program JET and spent two years in the mountains of Gunma prefecture. From 2012 – 2015 he ran chat based English education company, Eigooo, which was featured as one of the best new applications in the Apple App Store. Peter joined Tech in Asia in February 2016. Tech in Asia is Southeast Asia’s fastest growing tech media company with over nine million page views per month.

大学卒業後、米国オラクルに入社。1987年から日本オラクル初代代表として同社の立ち上げに貢献。1999年、株式会社サンブリッジを創業し、代表取締役社長に就任。アイティメディア、セールスフォース・ドットコム、オウケイウェイヴ、ガイアックス、マクロミル、ジー・モード等のベンチャー企業に投資し、7社のIPOを実現。現在までに投資したベンチャー企業は50社を超え、新事業、新産業の創出・発展に貢献している。2012年1月よりSunBridge Global Ventures会長。
Joined Oracle Corporation in the United States. From 1987 he assisted in the launch of Oracle Japan as its first representative and laid the foundation for growth of record-setting magnitude. As the representative director of SunBridge which was established in 1999, he invested in startups such as IT Media, Salesforce.com, OKWave, Gaia X, Macromill and G-mode, and undertook IPO’s for no less than seven companies. In 2007, he was included in Forbes Magazine’s Midas list as a venture capitalist considered to have made remarkable contributions to the value growth of startups in Japan.

1990年代後半よりネットビジネスに携わり、株式会社ウェブクルーの創業に参画。自動車保険の見積り比較サイトがブレイクし、2004年に東証マザーズ上場。2000年3月、高付加価値インターネットリサーチを提供する株式会社インタースコープを創業し、代表取締役社長に就任。2007年にYahoo! JAPANに売却後、2010年にマクロミルと経営統合。2011年3月、株式会社サンブリッジ Global Venture Habitat東京オフィサーに就任し、同年5月、創業間もないベンチャー企業とエンジェル投資家のネットワーキングを主目的としたプラットフォーム「Innovation Weekend」を立ち上げる。2012年1月、株式会社 サンブリッジ グローバルベンチャーズを設立し、代表取締役社長に就任(現任)。
He has been involved in Internet related business since the late 1990s including WebCrew Inc. started as an automobile insurance price comparison website and later listed on TSE Mothers. And in 2000, he co-founded Interscope, Inc. (Internet research company), which was sold off to Yahoo! Japan in 2007. In March 2011, he joined SunBridge and in May of the same year, in cooperation with Mr. Takeuchi of VentureNow, he launched “Innovation Weekend”, a pitch event and networking platform for early stage startups and angel investors. In January of 2012, he co-founded SunBridge Global Ventures Inc. and became its president & CEO (current position). In addition, he presently serves as visiting professor at Hosei University MBA.
